The plan

I've been toying with the idea of going vegetarian again for quite some time.
The problem is that I am in no way interested in eating a soy based diet,
imo it is unhealthy and destructive to the environment.

I'm looking for locally grown, dried or canned beans.
I plan on consuming certain dairy products (yogurt, butter, cheese)
because..again..I have no interest in consuming the soy-based replicas.

I'll be honest, I'm a little hungry right now..
and might remain so until I work this through...
I want to transition into a mostly local diet...
I've been looking for resources but there are none...
I wonder what sort of demand there would be for a vegetarian 100 mile cookbook...

Anyone with ideas or advice...please pass it on to me!!
